No. Darkness & Desire Publishing does NOT operate on a pay-to-publish model.

When we choose to publish a manuscript, the author does NOT pay for editing, formatting, cover design, or the other publishing services required to prepare the book for release. We operate much like a traditional publishing house, investing in the books we believe in rather than charging authors to publish them.

We also understand that not every author is looking for a publishing contract. That's why we offer affordable editing services for authors who plan to self-publish or who simply want to strengthen and polish their manuscript before querying literary agents.

Authors retain all rights unless a contract is signed outlining otherwise.

Rights, Royalties, and distribution will always be made clear during the acquisition process.
